Clinical care at home, registered with the CQC

What TDDI registration means for you

Support at Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the regulated activity “treatment of disease, disorder or injury” (often shortened to TDDI). This means we can provide certain clinical tasks as part of someone’s care, in their own home, instead of them needing to stay in hospital or move into a care setting. Our TDDI registration covers adults only.

Some people need more than help with washing, dressing and meals. They may need support with a feeding tube, a catheter, or a long-term condition such as epilepsy or diabetes. Our TDDI registration lets our trained care team carry out these clinical tasks safely at home, as part of a care plan agreed with you and, where needed, with your GP, district nurses or hospital team.

Clinical oversight and experience

Every care plan is individual. At your free assessment we’ll talk through exactly what support is needed and confirm what we can safely provide.

Areas we cover

We provide clinical care at home across Widnes, Runcorn, Halton, Liverpool and Warrington.

Rated Good by the CQC

Support at Home is rated Good overall by the CQC, and Good in all five areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led (report published September 2024). Read our CQC report.

Coming home from hospital

If someone you care for is ready to leave hospital but needs clinical support at home, we can work with the discharge team to plan care. See Complex Care and Specialist Clinical and Palliative Care Support.

Our clinical care is overseen by Registered General Nurses.

They provide clinical oversight of the care we deliver,

train our carers and check their competency before they carry out any clinical task, and

delegate specific clinical tasks to named, trained carers for each person we support.
