We are looking for a caring and reliable individual to join our team in a care and support role that provides flexibility and variety. This weekend-only position pays £17440.80 per year and involves offering direct support to our clients in their homes, ensuring their care and support aligns with their unique needs and preferences.
The role responds to immediate care needs and requires availability in Runcorn, Widnes, or South Liverpool. The minimum call duration is 30 minutes.
As part of your responsibilities, you will provide care and companionship support, assist with medication, prepare meals, help clients access the community, run errands, and provide home help, such as housekeeping. You will be on standby for emergency cover only and will not have a predetermined rota.
You will receive care hours that arise due to staff sickness and emergencies during your work hours. Additionally, you will be welcomed into a supportive team and work for a company that prioritizes service quality. You will also receive mileage paid at .45p per mile, a driver's fuel allowance of .50p extra per call, bridge crossing payment, annual leave, full training and support, shadowing opportunities, training for complex clients in preparation for emergency cover, and a mobile phone with unlimited data.
To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of experience in the care sector, a valid driver's license with access to your vehicle, a diploma in health and social care, or a willingness to pursue one. You must also be flexible, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to emergency cover. This role is subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS Check.
